Elegance and trust since 1920
The building that now houses Bank Apartments was constructed around 1920 as the “Berolina” house – one of the representative buildings in the then-developing Polanica-Zdrój. From the beginning, it served as a prestigious place associated with trade, services, and hospitality.
Within its historic walls, there was a branch of the Kłodzko Bank, as well as renowned retail establishments: Richard Mittmann’s delicatessen, Adalbert Pape’s shoe store, and Anna Casper’s clothing store, which also offered rooms for rent. Even then, the building combined financial functions with hospitality – just like today.
The “Berolina” house, together with the adjacent twin building, formed a cohesive and elegant ensemble in the center of the spa town. Although a symmetrical expansion was planned before World War II, these plans were never realized. As a result, the building retained its original character and proportions, making it a unique element of Polanica-Zdrój’s architecture today.
For many years, a bank branch operated in the building, and until 2015 it housed a branch of PKO BP Bank – a symbol of continuity, stability, and trust.
After a complete renovation, the townhouse regained its former shine while gaining modern functionality and a premium standard. The interiors of Bank Apartments were designed with respect for the history of the place, combining the elegance of the architecture with the comfort of contemporary apartments.
Today, Bank Apartments is a space where history naturally blends with modernity, offering guests a unique atmosphere for relaxation in the very heart of Polanica-Zdrój.
